英语这门学科对于考生而言至关重要，阅读理解是英语考试最为重要的部分，阅读的主要矛盾即句子重点。英语，无非两个方面单词、句子。在考试的过程中考生应该如何分析句子，详细内容请看如下分析。

　　一、句子主干——巧用句子主干，解决疑难杂症。

　　请看：

　　However, whether such a sense of fairness evolved independently in capuchins and humans, or whether it stems from the common ancestor that the species had 35 million years ago, is, as yet, an unanswered question. (2005年Text 1)

　　遇长句，找主干。主语为whether…or whether…是or连接的两个whether主语从句承担句子主语。谓语为系动词is。表语为an unanswered question。因此整句简化后的句子主干为：whether or whether is an unanswered question. 即：“whether or whether是一个未解决的问题”。再看选项[B] Human indignation evolved from an uncertain source. 此句明确是an uncertain source，即“一个未确定的来源”。与原文主干部分完全同义替换。

　　二、句内转折——句内若有转折，千万不要忽视。

　　一定区分句间转折与句内转合。请看：

　　Davidson’s article is one of a number of pieces that have recently appeared making the point that the reason we have such stubbornly high unemployment and declining middle-class incomes today is largely because of the big drop in demand because of the Great Recession, but it is also because of the advances in both globalization and the information technology revolution, which are more rapidly than ever replacing labor with machines or foreign workers. (英二2013年Text 1)

　　观察此长句，整段只有一句话，而且超级长，找主干也不是不可以，但相对难度大。可以优先看看句子里是否存在句内转折。刚好，句子里面存在句内转折but。与此同时，句子的重点也就是可以放在but之后了。句内but之后的主语是it，谓语为系动词it，表语为because of。因此，这么长的一句可以简化为：it is also because of the advances in both globalization and the information technology revolution. 即“全球化和信息技术革命的进步”。再看选项[A] the impact of technological advances，“技术进步的影响”，与原文保持一致。

　　要学会巧妙运用这些小词，抓住命题关键与重点。

　　三、标点符号——若有标点符号，一定引起重视。

　　在考研阅读中需要大家注意的标点符号有：

　　1)分号(结构并列+含义并列);2)括号(解释说明);3)破折号(一个解释说明+两个插入语);4)冒号(解释说明);5)问号(引出主题+反问句式)等。请看：

　　Just as bosses and boards have finally sorted out their worst accounting and compliance troubles, and improved their feeble corporation governance, a new problem threatens to earn them- especially in America-the sort of nasty headlines that inevitably lead to heads rolling in the executive suite: data insecurity. (2007年Text 4)

　　长句的信息较复杂，而且包括了主从复合句。这种情况下找主干会麻烦，若没有足够的耐心，则更会找错主干。那就考虑是否有刚刚所说的句内转折，万一有，那也是个巧妙的线索。然并无，根本没有句内转折。但是，有标点符号冒号，而且冒号后只有两个单词，两个单词总比前面的三行多好识别，所以整句话重点就是冒号后：data insecurity，即“数据不安全”。再看选项[D] the severity of data leakage. 意思是“数据泄漏的严重性”，明确就可以直接对应上了。这就是解题中的细微线索。
